BOXING & SHIPPING
COMPUTERIZED CROWNER RETROFIT SYSTEM
RGB Engineering takes great care in the preparation of the parts for shipment to
assure that they arrive at the customer's plant in good condition ready for
immediate assembly, or if necessary, protected for long term storage should the
need arise. All the mechanical units are completely
assembled, the
n
broken down into subassemblies convenient for boxing and handling. Any loose
parts are marked with the assembly drawing number and item number for easy
identification. Extra care is taken to assure that all parts are included,
especially fasteners, sundry items, special tools if required, etc. A supply of
ATF is included for jobs that utilize the Harmonic Drive reducer, so that no
time will be lost trying to obtain the proper lube oil for startup. All items
are packed securely in a heavy duty wooden crate, with sufficient partitions and
ribbing to support any loose parts. Skids are provided to facilitate handling by
cranes or fork lift trucks. The photos above show a typical box of SCA
mechanical parts and miscellaneous hardware. The two pictures below are of the
crate that contains the FFG console, and related items. The com
puter,
monitor, and keyboard are removed from the FFG station, and packed in their
original shipping cartons for extra protection. As can be seen, care is taken to
seal all items with
polyethylene to provide a good vapor barrier. In addition, desiccant packets are
used when necessary to provide extra moisture control. A typical crowner order
includes three crates. Shipments are usually made using common carrier trucking
companies, but other arrangements can be made if necessary.
